Willing to help improve the future of society designing your own Bioinspired Robot?
The two-week excellence program Barcelona International Youth Science Challenge (BIYSC) of Catalunya-La Pedrera Foundation challenges young students from all over the world to design their own Bioinspired/Social Robot at La Salle Campus Barcelona. Elena Jurado, coordinator of the project in La Salle Campus Barcelona, encourages young students to join this project and to identify a problem unsolved or improperly unsolved in our society, search how nature fixes it, and design a robot that solves it!
New robotic technology tends to develop robots that not only interact with people but also evolve and learn from the interaction and collect information through IoT (Internet of Things) concept. In this project, the participants are going to learn to develop a robotic prototype through IoT concept from the embodiment of the robot, based on 3D modeling using free 3D design software and 3D printers; to the implementation of the drivers to the actuators and sensors of their robotic design by using Arduino-base boards.
Are you eager to develop your own Bioinsipired Robotics project? Join us at BIYSC, pursue your scientific passions and contribute to improve the future of society sharing the experience with other young students that share your same enthusiasm!
