Programes que promouen l’excel·lència educativa i fomenten les vocacions científiques
By Jordi Albó (Visiting Professor at Tufts University / Associate Professor at La Salle BCN / Robotics Director at La Salle Almere), co-coordinator of the project “Bioinspired/Social Robots and IoT: an example of a Cloud Robotics System“.
To be or not to be a robot, this is the question. The near future is bringing robots to everyone live, and you might be an active player of this future. These robots are becoming social, what means that are performing social behavior like humans or animals do.
How can I make a robot social, and how I can make it feel emotions, and how I can feed it with information through the connectivity to the social media? Let’s do that in this workshop that covers the fundamental topics about nowadays robotics: Cutting-edge Arduino-based technology microcontrollers, electronic sensors, mechanical actuators, internet of things and cloud computing, affective computing, evolving systems. Participants are going to work on teams and learn by doing:
This workshop is for all these people who is interested not only in the technology (no previous experience is required) but also in the biology, psychology, and humanistic side of the intelligent machines that are going to surround our lives in the next present.
BIYSC is an International Scientific Challenge programme, that aims to connect the most passionate science students with the best researchers in their field. Registrations are open, do not lose your place! If you like science and you are between 16-19 years-old you cannot miss BIYSC from July 11th to 22nd 2016 in #Barcelona! 10 projects, 10 #research centers, two weeks of practical courses to work in research centers side-by-side with researchers, #scientific conferences, debates, visits to the research centers and much more!
